EL-36 Abrasion Laces

Apparatus for controlling the yaw abrasion resistance to repeated rubbing on standard grommets or the abrasive action of an eyelet on the lace.
This test is applicable to all types of laces and eyelets.
The instrument is available in 6 positions.

2 models are available according to the standards to evaluate these 2 devices although similar in appearance work in different ways.

• Model EL-36/6 according to SATRA TM93 standards, BS 5131: 5131 and ISO 3.6
  eyelets are fixed on a rigid plate. One end of the lace is fixed in a clamp and the other end passes through the eyelet and then is attached to a weight applying a 4.46 N force at yaw. The machine drags the lace through the eyelet with a stroke of 75 mm to 100 cycles per minute. The movement of the collet causes wear of the lace.
• Model EL-36/6 according to standard NF G62-020
  One end of the lace is fixed in a clamp and the other end passes through a metal plate by a standardized hole (simulating the abrasive action of the carnation) and then attached to a weight applying a standard force. The movement of the collet causes friction in the standardized hole and causes wear of the lace. Optionally the machine can receive a rigid plate-like door Carnation EL-36-6 model in order to test the eyelets
