Description
TEXTEST FX 3500 Online Air Tester is the most cutting-edge instrument for continuously testing the air permeability or pressure drop, thickness and grammage of woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, felts, films and paper machine fabrics on the production line in the world. The instrument design can be integrated in new or existing production lines and the principle of operation is based on the well-established FX3386 online air permeability analyzer.
According to the performance of the analyzed material, COMBISCAN can provide two models for selection:
● FX 3500-TX “Light-Frame” for analysis of porosity and/or thickness
● FX 3500-SX “Heavy Frame” for analysis of grammage and/or porosity and/or thickness
Special Features
The instrument contains a rail that can be extended to fit the width of the production line. Depending on the model, the guide rail may be placed on a stable frame with at least 3 or more rollers. Racks and rails can be fitted accordingly on production or finishing lines.
The rail contains a motorized test head adapter that can be fitted with one or more test heads. The air permeability test head can be compressed on the material to be tested in the production line by means of air pressure, and a replaceable and calibrated test head is used to continuously test the corresponding air permeability or pressure drop according to the selected pressure or flow rate. The thickness test head is also pressed against the test material pneumatically, and the thickness is measured by a thickness sensor and disk. The grammage is obtained by means of X-ray penetration.
In order to obtain a horizontal curve, the test head needs to pass through the entire production width; to obtain a longitudinal curve, the test head is fixed at a selected point; in addition, the test head moves left and right on both sides of the width, and the fabric moves in the length direction. The time test was carried out in a “Z” shape. Viewed in the warp direction, the test is alternated back and forth, so that the properties of all materials in the entire weft direction can be tested.
All analytical data is automatically transferred to the computer at set intervals. The computer is pre-installed with a special control software, and can display, evaluate, generate reports and store data in real time.
Because of the automatic control of the production line, the COMBISCAN analysis results can be displayed in real time. The data is stored in XML format, so the data can be retrieved directly without entering the evaluation program.
High-precision, high-stability pressure sensors ensure an excellent analytical data accuracy and reproducibility.
The robust structural design ensures high reliability of the instrument, thus minimizing the chance of operational failure.
The instrument is calibrated and comes with an ISO certificate of approval.

Generation of analysis reports
The computer connected to the instrument displays the analysis results in the form of curves and data in real time and continuously. Any deviation from the control interval will be clearly displayed. The analysis results are displayed in a similar three-dimensional color display and the statistical data form a summary, which is easy to observe and analyze. The analysis results can be easily converted into analysis reports, and the computer automatically stores the analysis results on the hard disk. After the analysis is completed, it can be edited and analyzed in various ways while offline.
The program also includes a function for long-term analysis of data.
The program is available in five different languages: English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
